“If You say go, we will go.
If You say stay, we will stay.
If You say step out on the water and they say it can’t be done,
We’ll fix our eyes on You and we will go.”
This song was made popular when I was in middle school or high school. And I remember listening to it and promising these words to God. I had no idea of what I was promising or where He would actually lead me. The furthest place I had been at that point was California. I couldn’t imagine He would lead my husband and me around the world one day.
This journey is just beginning and what an incredible journey it has already been. Please feel free to catch up on our story by reading our past posts.
We received a call tonight and were invited to go to appointment, which is where we have been recommended to be (prayerfully) hired to go overseas as a career move. The first thing I thought about tonight when J called me to tell me we were invited to appointment was this:
You, Lord, are worthy. You are worthy to have all people from every nation, tribe, and tongue worshipping you and glorifying You. And I thank You that You saw fit to remind us to fix our eyes on You and You taught us what it means to trust in You to provide—to hope in You—to know that You will show up and lead.
I cannot wait to go on this journey with my husband. I cannot wait to meet the people we will meet and have the conversations we will have. I cannot wait to see people come to know and love our God through Christ for the first time.
Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your continued prayers for us and for our people group in South Asia. This journey will be long and it will be difficult. But there will be joy unspeakable and so much life!
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, to HIM be glory in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations…"
